My PC freezes

My PC was running slow and i decided to install and run an antivirus (avast)because my Mcafee was expired. Right after running avast, my pc keeps freezing up and only show a blue screen. After rebooting over and over it displays the icons but it doesn’t let me open anything. Any help regarding this problem will be very appreciated. Tks
