My system is s-l-o-w…

I recently have been having significant problems with my system. A little background information is in order. About 2 weeks ago my Power Supply began to make noises like a coffee grinder. I figured I required a new PS – it a dual fan. It began to gradualy make a normal noise, all the time I monitered the fan speed and temperature; all were within normal parameters. That wasn’t the problem, however the sound came and went. Then a few days ago my mose cursor began to skip violently, the sound was garbled and choppy and some apps. (ie My Computer) were hanging up or not working at all.

Any ideas what caused (causes) it to act this way?
