My wireless won’t work

I’ve just recieved a wireless router, I’ve got it running and it’s definitely working. I’ve got the adapter plugged into my other computer and that works too. After about 2 hours of faffing about I managed to find my router when it scanned. However It’s not connecting properly. I can click on my connection but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried going online to 192.168.0.1 but my computer doesn’t recognise it (or 1.1, 1.0, 2.1 etc) My router is definitely working, all the lights are flashing and the connection is strong. When I scan for connections on my other computer it finds our one and says the signal strength is about 50%…but it just wont connect.

Does this make any sense and what else can I do?
