NAS for backup?

I’ve never dealt with NAS devices, but have been reading up on them quite a bit lately, particularly the models with RAID drives. I’m considering using them with some small business clients (1-2 servers) as part of their backup strategies. It seems like a workable and affordable option unless I’m missing something. Any thoughts or experiences? Pros and cons? Thanks for any input!
