NDPS vs IP Printing…?

Hey All!
I control about 300 workstations with about 30 printers. I want to use ip printing instead of NDPS printers. to clear off 30 printers of the novell server…would that help free up some resources on the server or doesnt really matter. Just wanted some info to give the boss for a reason why i want to go IP printing.
