NEC 950C Printer Problem

I have a NEC 950C Printer. I already setup the software and installed two new cartridges. I cannot stop the power light from blinking so I could complete the print cycle. I get the message that “truecolor cartridge is not installed”, but they areinstalled properly and seated into place. Any suggestions to solve this problem will be appreciated.
