NEC CDR c251 (cd changer)

I installed a 4×4 cg changer but my win 98 registers it as a floppy drive, how do i remedy this? i have the driver for it, even installed the driver and had windows look up new hardware. it didnt work. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
