NEC Multisync FE700 monitor faulty

I have a faulty NEC Multisync FE700 monitor. The vertical has shrunk and also there is poor definition on the screen. I mean that the contrast is very poor. What kind of fault could cause both of these problems?
I am a technician, so I am able to solder and test components etc. Any help would be very much appreciated!
