need advice on further education

I work in an IT capacity, but I don’t have any formal training. I’ve done PC maintenance, basic networking (including VPN). My company is going out of business now and I’m finding it difficult to market my skills without any certification. Any advice on the best way to proceed short of a 2 or 4 year college program?
