need help making RealPlayer work again

Not sure what I did, but I seem to have messed up RealPlayer and it will no longer play .mov movies shot on my camera and downloaded to my pc. It will play the samples found on the RealPlayer site. Maybe it is a firewall thing. I use Microsoft Security Essentials on this home WindowsXP tablet. I am new to this technology and could really use some help, please.
