need help on sound

installed creative ct5803 sound card, has no sound. tried other cards still same. no icon on taskbar. cant check volume all shaded. can get check on enable taskbar icon, but is still shaded. checked drivers, all are installed. when i do voice check it says cannot execute dpvsetup.exe. says use add/remove programs to install. i cant find it to install it! on system info. i have 1 problem. it is a irq holder for pci steering pci\irqholder\62 , error code 22. can anyone help?
