Hi, I have a small wireless network set up at my campground.. I have cable internet provided to a Motorola Surfboard Modem which runs into a Cisco RV042 VPN Router (DHCP Server enabled,Gateway Mode, and MAC filtering enabled) From the router switch ports I go to 3 smartbridge AirPointPRO wireless access Points (All on different chanels and pointing in different directions and set to obtain IP automatically)….
This system has been working great since May to handle my 15 or so clients that bring their laptops to the campground to check email etc. Last weekend we had a lightning storm.. I do not know if that is just a coincidence, but since then many of my wireless clients are getting a conflicting IP error.. My router shows that no two IPS on the network are the same, This is driving me NUTS!
Can anyone suggest a starting point.. By that i mean what is the most likely culprit, Modem, Router or Wireless AP’s?? I have a huge chunk of money into this and I don’t want to just throw more money at it without being sure(Or at least comfortably sure)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
