Hello all,
Scenario:
In the interest of securing an application using MS SQL replication, I am rolling out a mobile VPN client to each of my client’s SQL Servers. I am using a Watchguard Firebox 700 / III runnning v7.2 as the VPN host. I am using the Watchguard MUVPN lite 6.13 client. I am forcing virtual adaptor and ESP tunnels (No PPTP). This is successfully in producition in four sites.
Problem:
I have a client that cannot connect using the VPN client software. They have a Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.3. I believe they are not allowing outgoing IPSec connections correctly. Additionally, they are using their PIX to terminate VPNs for their office. (I do not have details on this).
I have verified that the certificate I generated for them will work correctly from an outside source, so I am sure my configuration is correct.
Question:
Does anyone have information on configuring a PIX to allow IPSec to pass through without hurting their existing VPNs? Their Net Admin is a rookie and I am a developer. We are both Cisco impaired.
Thanks,
