Neon lights?

I have seen some PC enthusiasts add the Neon LED sound activated lights to their consoles. I was just curious if anyone know how the hell these wire? Is it connected to an IDE cable slot, or HOW? Im quite curious. Please post a reply if you know! Thanks!
