netbios name during dcpromo to Active Directory

1 question…. when i do a dcpromo it asks for the netbios name for the domain… is there anyway i could use the same name as the nt4 domain so that the existing win98, me clients have it easier connecting ? or will this cause a conflict when i go to set up the trust relationship between the new ad domain and the old nt4 domain ?
