I’m having some weird problems that I haven’t been able to figure out.
I have a NT4 SP6 server as my PDC. I have a NT4 SP6 server as my BDC. Updates appear to pass back and forth properly with no errors.
I have a NT4 SP6 server running Exchange 5.5 SP3. I also have a specialized server running my CD-ROM Jukebox. The manufacturer is TenX Technology, Inc. and acts almost exactly like a NT server to the rest of the network. Even shows up in Server Manager the same way.
Everywhere on my Exchange server, the name of it is EXCHANGE. The only place I can put a name on the Jukebox server, it is CD-JUKEBOX. I have been getting NET 53 NAME CLAIM errors on the Jukebox periodically and it shuts down. The manufacturer wrote some code to capturethe IP address of the computer broadcasting the name claim…it’s my Exchange server.
Where in the wide wide world of Microsoft can I find anything to resolve this problem?
