NetBook touch screen installation

I bought a touch screen for my Acer Netbook and took it to a computer person to install.

He has so many questions. The ribbon that connects the touch board to the screen can connect incorrectly and blow the screen but no one will tell him how it connects.
Has anyone had experience with these touch screens? Also there are usb’s attached to the board but no outlet for them. Do you just cut them off?
