Netware 5 and backup exec critical error

When trying to install Backup Exec 8 on my Netware 5 server. I keep getting a Critical Error when the netware client tries to load and locks up. The job manager loads fine. the only way I have found to remove the lockup is to restart the server. What can I do? Let me know if you need more info to help.
