Ours is a two location company in UAE, having two Netware 5.0 servers for file sharing at these two locations.
Now we plan to implement an ERP on Oracle platform at the main office, with remote access users from second location.
We are thinking about Netware 5.1/6.0 to run Oracle 9. Is anybody using this config and any useful info on this is most welcome.
Alternately, Unix also being considered. We found Unix systems are costly compared to Netware capable Servers.
Any advise on a Server with maximum uptime, easy remote access administration, scalability etc welcome.
We are considering Compaq and IBM, in that order. Our market intelligence says, Compaq has the best spareparts availability locally, compared to any other brand and, users enjoy a much better after sales support.
