Network access

I have a new Windows XP that I want to add to an existing Coaxial Network. I have added a hub that connects to the Coaxial hub and am not able to connect to the Novell server or see any of the workstaions on the coaxial side. I can get to the Internet and ping other workstations? I installed the netware client 4.9 but cannot see the server. Any ideas???
