Hi guys,
having strange problem in my network, couple of days ago I upgraded couple of machines in my network..domain is there but not functional..so everyone have to login to their machine as an admin locally (workgroup).
I installed winxp pro SP2 set all the softwares and map drives.
most of the machines suddenly stop working on network if the user is working on some network application. no ping from any machine to that particular machine and when I check services, I realized that Workstation, server, DHCP, DNS are stopped. I started it and then everything goes fine.
I’m using static IP addressess and dint have any problem until I upgraded the machines and install new WinXP pro with SP2. currently I’m running symantec AV corp. Ed. 10. and currently I’m scanning all the drives..
Any Idea guys why I’m having this kind of problem.
