Network Cable Unplugged

by shakaman . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

Hi all,

WOuld appreciate any help possible on this. Up until this weekend had a broadband connection on my laptop in my apartment via a modem. Brought the laptop to my parents house at weekend and hooked it up to the dial up connection there by creating a new connection which worked fine.

Came back to my place and tried connecting to the internet via my modem and keep getting a “Network cable unplugged” error message.

I have tried another cable in the NIC and have disabled and re-enabled the connection but still get the same error message. I’ve deleted the old dial-up connection and ticked the “Never dial a connection” option on the connections tab.

Could it be anything to do with the ISP provider as I have had issues before?

Any suggestions would be really welcome.
