network card killed lpt1 port

I installed a sohoware network card on my machine it installed fine (running ME) since i installed it I cant print from lpt1 if I look at the system setting in ME it doesn’t look look llike there is any conflict.PS i tried the printer on another computer with the same cable no problem.
