Network connection speed

Hi everyone,

I have a Cisco gigabit switch that has ports set to 1000mb/full on the ports, and on individual servers set to Auto negotiate. When we first got the switch a month ago and move all servers to it, we were getting very good transfer rate (around 700 to 800mb/sec) on backup (Veritas). However, now it’s down to 100mb or even less. Would you know if there are any tools that I can use to test the real connection speed (even though it says connected at 1gb)? What could be the problems? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
