Network Drive is slow – DFS is in use

by bizintelligence . Updated 16 years, 4 months ago

Hi

We have offices in four states and in each state we have Windows 2003 server. They are inter-connected and we are using DFS to sync data between.

We have users who travel interstate. They are having a weird issue where they click on network drive (say R:) and either hangs the computer or takes some time to open it.

But if we go to folder directly (for expample R:\general\data) then it works.

I have tried following steps:

> Read and did steps on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832161
> run dfsutil /pktflush
> run dfsutil /spcflush

Any suggestions !

Regards
Angad
