Network Freezes up a couple times a day

Every day at least once or twice i get a call saying there are errors on the pc. So I look at the hubs and see that everything is still and nothing at all is happening, no activity. And then a minute later activity begins and we are rolling again. Any ideas why this might be happening. NT network, 30 workstations and 5 servers.
