network hardware

I think this question might have to be answered with a question, I have an existing network and want to conect 10 machines wirelessly off an existing Isdn router, I’m well aware you can obtain wireless Isdn routers, but if I were to connect a wireless access point to my existing router I could manage up to 36 users on my WAP but connecting this to a router, how would I assign the multiple I.P addresses, would I need to configure everything through my router (Sonic wall), or can I use a single port off my router pluging the WAP in and have 10 similtaneous users? thus assigning IP addresses through the WAP.
