Network help

Hi all.
Please somebody help!
I have purchased an Archer C7 tp link router.
The intention is to link it WIRELESS to the Virgin Media Hub 3,
and to place the Archer C7 upstairs to provide faster speeds for upstairs, as the speeds area lot slower than downstairs.
How can i do this? Every bit of help/advice i have followed – been given is still based on the hard wired ethernet! This is not possible so please,please can someone give me the wireless solution to my problems!??
