This is more of a annoying then anything but if we have a link on our intranet to an excel document going to a server ie
\\able71\northstar\document.xls it gives an error message ??able71/northstar/document.xls? could not be found. Check Spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct. If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files on the file menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.? If you click ok it then opens. Now if it goes to an http://blah.blah.xls it will open fine. Please take note that it seems to cut off the beginning ?//? I have tried several things already such as recreating the open association and several registry entries from KB Support from Microsoft.
