Network Load Balancing/CLB & App Center

We have used NLB to load balanced 2 Win2003 COM+ Application servers in the past but the setup was difficult and it did not work very well at all (traffic favoured 1 server heavily).

I have already seen why this is – COM+ design not suited to NLB.

Okay – need alternative – after NLB problems and poor documentation, not sure if:-

1. Whether Application Center is suited to job
2. If docs are as poor as NLB it worries me – haven’t got months to try out various scenarios

Another alternative may be hardware application switch instead – but do not know if these work with COM+.

Anyone had to tackle this yet – how to you approach/fix ?
