Network Management Database

by jasonc . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I’m looking for a tool (Commercial or Free/Shareware) that will help me keep track of Network.

I don’t really want to link in to HPOV or other active management systems, as I want to roll this out to several users who don’t use Openview. This needs to be more of an administrative tool rather than management.

If anyone knows of anything that might suit, please post!

Currently I’m using about 6 different Excel Charts, Word Docs, etc. to do this, and

Things I’m looking for:

Ability to store Make/Model/Serial# of Router(s), together with the IP Addresses of the interfaces, and whether or not the interfaces are in use.

Maintenance Contract Details?

Lists of IP Networks (incl. Masks for subnetted networks), ideally with Notes, etc.

Lists of used Addresses in a subnet/network, such as Printers, Static Servers, and DHCP Scope, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jason.
