Network map drives loses connection to SMB 2003 server

I have 6 workstations that every day they can not connect to the mapped drives to the SMB2003 server. They are on a domain. If they reboot the server and work stations they are able to reconnect to the mapped drives 90% of the time. Every now and then they get that error cant conect mapped drives.
