Network printer disappearing

I am running Windows 2000 Server on my print server. I have a Cannon IR1670F that up until a few days ago worked fine. Starting Friday the printer disappeared from the printer list and I try to reinstall it and when I reboot I end up with the old one showing up. This printer runs through an AXIS print server. But then the next day the printer is gone again. Any help out there? Thanks
