Network Printer Error

I cannot print from a Win 98se to a Win 2000. I am able to share the HP940c on the network with others (Win xp). I have installed the correct drivers on the 98 and it also had me do additional 98 drivers on the 2000. The 98 can access the Win 2000files and you can see the printer, but it will not print. The error reads cannot print due to an unknown system error restart and try again, but I still get the same
