A small LAN is running with a network printer. All users except 1 suddenly cannot print. A review of the server event log shows that an error occurred when the print jobs were sent but it doesn’t state the exact error. We rebooted the printer and the entire network; still, only one person had the ability to print. We tried to update the driver but the printer can’t be found. We tried to reinstall the software but the printer can’t be found. Even with one person still able to print, we checked the patch panel/switch, all cables, power, etc. We deleted the printer from the server and tried a clean install and the printer STILL cannot be found.
What would cause this behavior? Why couldn’t most of the network print while one user could (not logged on as admin)?
