Network printer ping problem

I have bought a new router, D-link DIR-655 and connected a HP4000 laserjet printer to the router. The router gives the printer a IP address 192.168.0.115. The printer config printout shows this IP address and the router
also sees the printer and shows the IP address. But when I sends a ping to the printer form the router it ?cant see the printer.
The same happens when i sends a ping from a dos
prompt? So no prints from this printer connected to this router.
With my older D-link router 614 I have no problems pinging and printing to the printer?
The sam problems also happens with a DIR-635?
