There are a number of users printing to an office printer connected to another user’s PC. The users that are mobile have troubles printing: When initially entering the office and connecting the laptop, any print command to this networked printer will not execute…
from MSOffice: “Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup”
WHen checking properties on the printer: “Printer properties cannot be displayed. The printer spooler service is not running”.
A restart of the laptop DOES fix this problem. No problems printing after a restart.
All along print jobs can however be sent to other networked printers. ANy ideas as to what is wrong with this printer setup? Must the PC of the user physically connected remain powered on?
