While setting up a small LAN I found I had a pc (win 98) that couldn’t find the LAN server via a login. However, I could ping the server from that pc. I checked for the usual mistakes: NIC seemed ok in Device Manager and light was on, cat 5 outlettested ok, patch cord tested ok.

I also noticed that I had misspelled the domain name in the Login box, but after correcting still no network. After being told the domain couldn’t be found, I clicked “OK” but quickly found the server in “Network Neighborhod”.

Any Ideas?
