Networking pc problems

I just installed a new Dell (it came with SP2)
It is connected to my network/internet fine, and can connect (ping) to my other computer, but my old computer (non SP2) cannot ping the new one.

I have turned off the windows firewall, but I still cannot get the two connected.

Any other advice/suggestions?
