Company A acquired Company B recently. I work for Company A [2003 Server/Exchange environment for both]. The project is to get Company B up to our standards. There are 350 users in Company B, thousands within A.
Here are the challenges:
1. Domain name for Company B will change to A’s.
2. IP scope for Company B will probably change [to A’s].
3. Computer names for Company B may change to naming convention of A’s.
4. User names for Company B may change to naming convention to A’s.
5. User Profiles for B must be preserved.
6. User information for B must be preserved.
7. Process should be transparent and if possible, automated.
8. Manual mappings for B must be preserved.
My question is what tools can the community recommend to help with these challenges?
