New Computer – Strange Shutdown

I recently put together a new computer. I’m using the 8800GTX, and
when I start up I get the post code 7F and a shutdown shortly afterward.
My screen merely displays a gargled image.

Any thoughts? Might it be my monitor connector, or could my videocard
be bad?
