Hi, I have the following situation:
We have an HP Proliant Server DL380 G4 with one 72 GB hard disk installed and with all the information there (OS and data).
We purchase a new 72 GB HD (identical with 10K) and I installed it on the server. We use the HP ACU software to create the new array and the new disk, we format the new drive and all is perfect at the point we can store data on the new disk.
The problem is when we restart the server; the server tries to start always from the new disk that doesn?t have any data or OS. We need to delete or to take the new disk out to finally start the server.
Our original disk (contains OS) is the Logical Drive 2 array B
When I install the new disk the configuration in the Array Configuration Utility 8.0.14.0 Smart Array 6i is as follows:
Controller in Embedded Slot
Parallel SCSI Array A
Logical Drive 1 ( 69459 MB, RAID 0 )
Parallel SCSI Array B
Logical Drive 2 ( 69459 MB, RAID 0 )
Any help for the successful final installation of the new disk will be appreciated.
