New network cant talk to other subnet.

I have a new cisco router that will handle a new IP scheme. I need any host with the new IP scheme to talk to the other networks IP scheme. I can ping any device on the “other” ip scheme but cant bring up any network shares or email although I cant ping the email server. Pinging by name and IP address are successful.
Please help or advice.
