Newsletter format has changed to plain text

Either on Sept 3 or 4 the format of the newsletters except for the “whitepaper highlight” changed to plain text. I went into my user preferences and checked but could not find if one could select the newsletter format of choice.
What’s happened?
I prefer the html newsletters myself.
