NIC card + WIFI / wireshark / monitoring a request to a web page /

by txrx6 . Updated 6 years, 10 months ago

both my wifi and nic ( netwrk i’face card ) are both active – – – If i for example am on a google search engine, and type in cnn for my search – – how do i know if my request from my pc goes through my physical NIC card or my wifi – – – too dificult to track or figure out ? would an internet web page request only go out of interface that has a subnet mask included ? or could that be the same for my wifi as well ? some people may say who cares ? as long as your computer is working . Just trying to understand how to validate a simple web request for beginners. Thank you to anyone who can share a bit of information on my question.
