Hello–
I’m running apache 1.3.9 on a Windows NT4 machine. In the last few days, it’s been throwing a barrage of “Dr. Watson” errors: “Exception: Access Violation…” to the point where eventually, the server gets bogged down and crashes.
Since this particular server has been running faithfully without this problem in the past, I’m suspecting that the Nimda worm (which, from the logs, is scanning it quite ferociously) might be to blame.
Has anyone else experienced problems with the Win32 version of apache as a result of worm scanning??? I haven’t seen any reports on the web, but then again, most of the attention has been focused on IIS servers, not apache (which in theory ought to be immune, right?)
any thoughts would be appreciated…
