After rebooting one of my NetWare servers, Dell Poweredge 4400 with NW4.2. I no longer have a console prompt. I researched Novell for a solution and tried them all. None worked. Learned a few new tricks is all, such as:
Alt + Left Shift Key + Right Shift Key + ESC. This should give you a # sign prompt. (It did)
Then type EIP=CSleepUntilInterrupt and press Enter. You should then see “Register Changed”. (It did) Then type G and this will return to the server console prompt. (It didn’t!!!)I retried it and the screen was filled with all kinds of Exx info that didn’t mean anything to me. It did however give the value for EIP=F8021AB8 for whatever that is worth. Does this mean anything to anyone? How do I get my console prompt back short of several reboots. Went over 200 days before this reboot.
