No GUI after loading

I recently removed Novell netware from one of my computers. Since then whenever the computer boots up it goes all the way into windows but i have no GUI only the wallpaper. If however i go in to safe mode i do. Ive tried restoring the registry and all the solutions offered by microsoft Q & A but nothing has helped. Any ideas?
