No login screen

In our network running on NT and 98 (clients) one laptop does not show the network logon screen. It starts and directly shows to desktop. For entering the network the user logs off from start/logoff and gives his network login+password, and then it works OK. After rebooting the same problem is repeated. I have set the Primary Network Logon at Client for Microsoft Networks.

Any ideas?
