No Netware PopUp Message

I am unable to have Netware Pop Up messages come up on my PC. I am an administrator with admin rights, and I am using NT4.0 on my w/s with the Netware Client 4.8 installed. The notify block is checked in the properties of the Novell Client. Any other W/S I am logged into I get the pop up messages when printing or backups are done etc. What am I missing or that is not enabled on my PC?
